On the track, Soucek continues to tap into a rich vein of form. Starting Race 1 from the second row behind Hegewald and Aleshin, the Spaniard drives away to score a comfortable victory by nearly ten seconds from Aleshin with Hegewald third. In Race 2, Frenchman Julien Jousse converts pole position into an even more impressive run to the flag, registering his first win of the season ahead of the ever-improving Lithuanian, Kazim Vasiliauskas, and Italy's Mirko Bortolotti. This time, Soucek has to settle for fourth place, but he's been consistently in the points since the second race in Brno and is looking ever more likely the man to beat for the championship.
