BRDC Formula 4 Championship sees three different winners at Brands Hatch

21/05/2013

Jake Dalton leapt to the top of the points table in the BRDC Formula 4 Championship sponsored by Comma by winning the first of three races on the German Touring Car (DTM) card at Brands Hatch over the weekend of May 18th/19th. In doing so, Dalton also became the first driver to post back-to-back Formula 4 victories, having won Race 3 of the inaugural event at Silverstone at the end of April.

Matt Bell - winner of the first ever Formula 4 race - confirmed that he will be a force to contend with as the exciting new championship evolves by winning the first of two races on the Sunday, while Charlie Robertson registered podium finishes in all three races, including victory in the final event of the day.

Seb Morris, the early championship leader post Silverstone, experienced a strangely muted weekend, finishing ninth in Race 1, crashing out after colliding with Jack Barlow in Race 2 and finishing thirteenth in Race 3. Morris is too good not to bounce back though, and he will be keen repair the situation when the series continues at Snetterton on June 15th/16th. In the meantime, he has slipped to sixth place in the championship table, 49 points adrift of Dalton.

A dedicated 1 hour recorded programme will be televised on ITV 4 on the Sunday following every BRDC Formula 4 race weekend. Complete race reports and comprehensive information on the championship can be viewed at www.formula4.com
