Comma renews ATIEL ‘Letter of Conformance’ until 2015

11/09/2013

July 2013: Comma customers across Europe can continue to use Comma products with complete confidence as the oils and chemicals specialist renews its ATIEL (The Technical Association for the European Oil Industry) 'Letter of Conformance' for a further two years.

In Europe it is necessary to be registered with ATIEL and conform to its Code of Practice in order to legitimately claim ACEA specifications on-pack. As a continued subscriber to ATIEL's principles, Comma is therefore able to continue to claim ACEA specifications, meeting the very latest requirements, on all of its product packaging.

Comma is committed to going 'above and beyond' industry regulations. From the outset, Comma ensures that the very best raw materials are used in production and, employing a strictly controlled manufacturing process and rigorous quality control procedures, expert blenders work to ensure that Comma's products continue to comply with exacting requirements of both the vehicle manufacturer and industry standards like ACEA.

Comma's uncompromising approach to product quality and integrity provides complete peace of mind to its customers; distributors and workshops can offer their customers Comma products with the certainty that they are of a quality that is undisputed in the market place.

Mike Bewsey, spokesman for Comma Oils and Chemicals, said: "At Comma, we pride ourselves on our exceptional quality levels thanks to our stringent quality control procedures as well as the technical education and additional support we provide to distributors. We have gone, and will continue to go, above and beyond industry requirements and this renewal reinforces our status as an industry-leading company.

"This is an exciting phase for Comma as we're currently undergoing significant European expansion, entering new territories and increasing our presence in others so we're thrilled that our product quality continues to be recognised in this way."

Comma has been registered with ATIEL since 1997 and always conforms fully to its strict code of practice.

Comma also meets the following standards:

  • Quality control – ISO 9001:2008 Performance (Quality)
  • ISO 14001:2004 – Environmental
  • OSHAS 18001 – (Occupational Health & Safety Management)
